Description: Prisoner Maria is based on a Japanese manga that mutated into a movie of the week style TV series spawning the video's Female Prisoner Punisher Maria 1 & 2. . Prisoner Maria: The Movie finds CC Girls singer Noriko Aota (Dead or Alive 2) in the starring role.
The plot is pretty kooky, but a welcome change to anyone who has sat through a stack of WIP flicks. Maria is prisoner 209 serving a life sentence for offing a yakuza who killed her husband. The warden uses Maria as an assassin in his covert crime fighting organization that operates outside of the law. In order to keep Maria coming back to jail after her missions, they threaten her with the well being of her son. This setup leads to all sorts of goofiness involving Taiwanese mobs, serial killers with political ties and asylum mind control.
The stunt sequences and fight choreography are typical mid 90's J-Vid fare but Kataoka, the director of such lurid titles as Molester Train 32, has sleaze on his mind. And sleaze is what you get with slow motion shower scenes, five naked ladies and enough white panty crotch shots to give a 5th grader a brain aneurysm. Prisoner Maria: The Movie has enough campy dialogue and over the top violence to earn a proud place on any DVD shelf.
